Service Process

Five phases. Every deliverable defined. Every turnaround window committed. Scroll through the full service sequence before you make a single call.

01
Rope-Access Inspection

Visual Survey & Structural Assessment

Two IRATA Level 3 technicians descend the full blade span — root to tip — on independent rope systems. Every surface crack, leading-edge erosion pocket, and lightning receptor condition is documented with geo-tagged photography. We run the tower exterior simultaneously: flange bolts, cable ladder anchor points, yaw ring seal condition.

Most operators skip the full-length rope inspection because it costs more than a platform visit. It also catches the fatigue crack at 58 metres that the platform missed for three seasons.

What You Receive

Report format:PDF + georeferenced photo archive
Turnaround:48 hours post-descent
Coverage:Full 360° blade + tower exterior

02
Borescope Imaging

Internal Blade & Nacelle Cavity Inspection

A 6-metre articulating borescope enters through the blade root access port. We document every internal web adhesive bond, spar cap condition, and moisture ingress indicator. Inside the nacelle: main shaft bearing race, gearbox housing seals, generator coupling alignment — all captured in 4K with thermal overlay where heat signatures require annotation.

Thermal overlay catches a gearbox bearing running 12°C hot before it shows up in SCADA vibration data. That is a scheduled swap versus an emergency crane mobilisation.

What You Receive

Report format:4K video + annotated stills + thermal map
Turnaround:72 hours including thermal analysis
Coverage:Full blade interior + nacelle drivetrain

03
Gearbox Oil Analysis

Particle Count, Viscosity & Contaminant Profiling

Oil samples are drawn from the low-speed and high-speed stages separately — not from the drain port where settled particles skew the count. Samples go to our ISO 17025-accredited lab partner same-day via courier. Results include ferrous particle count, water activity, viscosity index, and a remaining useful life projection keyed to your OEM's wear band thresholds.

We have pulled oil samples showing 4× the ISO cleanliness limit from turbines that passed their last visual inspection. The gearbox failed eleven weeks later. The operator who acted on our data avoided the failure entirely.

What You Receive

Report format:ISO 4406 particle count + RUL projection
Turnaround:5 business days from sample collection
Coverage:LS & HS gearbox stages, hydraulic circuit

04
Blade-Edge Repair

Leading-Edge Erosion Restoration

Erosion repair is performed in-situ on rope — no crane, no blade removal. We grind back to clean laminate, apply 3M Wind Blade Protection tape or OEM-specified polyurethane coating in temperature-controlled conditions, and cure under portable heat blankets. Each repair section is thickness-checked with an ultrasonic gauge before the technician ascends.

A 1% improvement in blade aerodynamic efficiency on a 2 MW turbine running at 35% capacity factor adds roughly $11,000 in annual revenue at $0.045/kWh. Our in-situ repair costs a fraction of crane mobilisation.

What You Receive

Report format:Pre/post photos + ultrasonic thickness log
Turnaround:Same-day repair + 24h cure confirmation
Coverage:Full blade leading edge, 0–100% span

05
Commissioning & Closeout

Final Commissioning Report & Handover

Every service call closes with a structured commissioning report: all findings catalogued by severity (IEC 61400 classification), all repairs documented with materials batch numbers, all measurements recorded against OEM tolerance tables. The report is formatted for direct upload to your CMMS — we support SAP PM, Maximo, and Infor EAM schemas on request.

Asset managers tracking availability percentages need data that feeds directly into their reporting stack. We have built the output format around your system, not ours.

What You Receive

Report format:PDF + CMMS-compatible XML/CSV export
Turnaround:24 hours post-final inspection
Coverage:All phases consolidated, IEC-classified findings

Nacelle found a spar cap adhesive disbond on Unit 47 that our platform inspection missed two seasons running. The borescope report was in our CMMS within 72 hours. We deferred crane mobilisation by eight months.

When our commissioning timeline compressed by three weeks, Nacelle had a six-person crew on-site in 96 hours. GWO documentation was pre-loaded in our contractor management system. Zero HSE events across 18 turbines.

Their oil analysis caught a water activity spike in the gearbox hydraulic circuit at Unit 12. We pulled the seal kit on a planned outage day. That saved us roughly $340,000 in unplanned downtime costs.
